Officials from the Philippines Stock Exchange (PSE) and their partners will be in Laoag City on June 7, 2007 to hold free stock market seminar as part of the PSE’s widened investor education program. The PSE, with support from the First Metro Asset Management, Inc. and the PSE Foundation will hold the free seminar at Sampaguita Hall at Fort Ilocandia Hotel and Resort from 1 to 6 PM. Mr. Francis Lim, PSE president and chief executive officer, said the briefing is part of the PSE’s provincial roadshow project, which aims to educate would-be stock market investors in the provinces and encourage them to try the stock market as an investment alternative. PSE has lined up experts who will share their expertise on stock market. The resource speakers are Atty. Francisco Ed Lim, PSE president and CEO; Mr. Melchor C. Guerrero, PSE vice president and head of Capital Markets Development Division; Mr. Eduardo Mendoza, president of First Metro Asset Management (FAMI); and Mr. Gonzalo Ordonez, Chief Operating Officer of First Metro Securities Presentations include, “Overview of the Philippines Stock Exchange”, “How To Invest in the Stock Market” “Listing in the Philippine Stock Exchange” “Investing in Equity Mutual Funds” and “Online Stock Trading” The PSE is also organizing a team to conduct a similar briefing in the cities of Davao, General Santos and Cagayan De Oro.
