BBM throws full support to Keon
1st district mayors sign manifesto backing Keon

Ilocos Norte Governor Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Michael Marcos-Keon are working together for their victory as 2nd district congressman and governor, respectively, in the coming May 14 elections.

In an apparent move to boost the candidacy of Michael Marcos-Keon several mayors of the first district of Ilocos Norte signed a manifesto expressing support to the gubernatorial bet.

Among those mayors who signified their support were Bacarra Mayor Philip Velasco, Pasuquin Mayor Oscar Aguinaldo, Burgos Mayor Benjamin Campañano, and Dumalneg Mayor Francis Espiritu. Bangui Mayor Willy Gaces and Carasi Mayor Joy Fernandez were not present but likewise extended their support to the group.

Marcos also clarified that there were no agreements between him and former Governor Rodolfo C. Fariñas referring to reports that the latter’s group are making misrepresentation among the voters.

“Wala akong secret na pinag-usapan. Wala akong pinag-agreehan. Lahat ng pinag-usapan namin with the former governor, we disagreed with everything,” Marcos stressed.

“Walang kandidato ang gropo ng mga Marcos kung hindi si Michael Marcos Keon sa gobernador at si Congressman Ablan para sa first district at ako para sa second district,” Marcos revealed.
