INEC appeals to LC gov’t to follow ERC guideline in franchise tax computation
With the long awaited guidelines from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) on the tax recovery formula to be used by the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) in its payment of the franchise tax being levied by local government units, INEC officials decried the fact that the Laoag City government has apparently overlooked this as it is insisting on following what is stated in the Local Government Code.
The Provincial Nutrition Council (PNC) members of Ilocos Norte led by assistant provincial nutrition officer Gloria Sadaran of the Department of Education (DepEd) recently evaluated some 15 towns with their nutrition program and projects from April 18, 2006 to May 4, 2006 on staggered schedule.
