In connection with the ongoing preliminary investigation of the DOJ into the Jimmy Chua slay case, the DOJ panel handling the investigation, led by State Prosecutor Esperanza Rosario conducted an ocular inspection of the alleged crime scene at the Eagles Nest Bar and Restaurant located at Baranggay Salet, Laoag City, last Wednesday morning July 27, 2005.

LC council approves P1 trike, calesa fare hike
Ordinances still to be approved by Prov’l Board

The Laoag City Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved the fare rate increase requested by tricycle operators and drivers. The increase was due to the continued rise in prices of oil and petroleum products.

The members of the council approved the two ordinances increasing the fare rate for tricycle and calesa unanimously during their July 13 regular hearing.
