Calling the still unresolved killing of former Laoag City Vice Mayor Jimmy O. Chua as a “subornation of justice,” Ilocos Norte Governor Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said the slow pace of justice in the crime is another tragedy for the vice mayor’s family.

“There is only so much that the police can do and that the authorities can do. Kung hindi tatayo ang mga naging witness, kung hindi magsasabi, kung tinatakot lahat sila (If the witnesses would not stand up, would not say anything and if they are being threatened) then there’s nothing we can do,” Marcos said
