LC council commends Asian trap shooter champ

MEMBERS of the Laoag City Sangguniang Panlungsod recognized the efforts of Eric Ang, a Laoag City businessman, who recently who two gold medals in the 31st Southeast Asia Shooting Association Championships held at the Subang Range in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on August 23.

Laoag Councilor Derick Ang, sponsor of the resolution of commendation, said it is only proper to give due recognition to Ang who won an individual gold medal in trap shooting. The Laoag native later teamed up with other Filipino shooters to win group event.

Lao added that Ang deserve the recognition as he has long been a pride of Laoag when it comes to shooting and in the same manner he would serve as an inspiration to others who also wish to make their own marks in the field of sports.

The said resolution was earlier calendared only for the first reading during the recent council session but Lao moved for a second and final reading which the body approved.

The Ilocos Times tried to reach Ang for his comment but he was unavailable as of press time. .
