The 30th National Milo Marathon LC elimination run

A record of 9,270 runners competed in the 30th National MILO Marathon held in Laoag City on August 20. The race won by Reynaldo Pascua, was the 15th such event in the year long 2006 MILO sports program which features a total of 30 races to be held in various locales nationwide. Now on its 30th year, the MILO Marathon is part of the commitment of Nestle to contribute to the promotion of sports development and good nutrition at the grassroots level.

Torralba on the 60-day preventive suspension handed down by the governor stemming from the administrative charge filed against the mayor in connection with the killing of a police officer in Badoc, Ilocos Norte.

With the current proliferation of foundations that are being claimed to have been founded by the Marcoses, Ilocos Norte Governor Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has warned the public that only one legitimate foundation is connected to their family—the Marcos Foundation—and that all the others claiming to be connected to them are fake.
